Serve Weekend at New Vintage

Each summer, New Vintage Church comes together to serve our community in a meaningful and impactful way. We partner with local organizations, ministries, and businesses to offer practical support while sharing the love of Jesus with our neighbors.

We will have an all team rally on Saturday, July 11th at 8am at New Vintage.This will be a time for us to gather together, pick up your shirt and any supplies, meet your project leader, and pray before we head out to serve our city.

Below is an overview of this year’s Serve Weekend opportunities:

Areas to Serve

Friday, July 10

Parent’s Night Out 

5:00–8:00 PM at NVC | Ages 18+

We will create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment for children (ages 0–15) so their caregivers—foster, adoptive, and kinship families—can enjoy a well-deserved evening off. Children will enjoy dinner, a movie, crafts, and games.
 We are seeking 30 volunteers. A background check is required.

Saturday, July 11

Hands and Feet Food Prep

9:00–11:00 AM at NVC | All ages welcome

Help decorate bags, prepare sandwiches, and pray over meals for those experiencing homelessness. This is a great opportunity for families and children to serve together in a meaningful way.

Elijah Family Homes

9:00 AM–12:00 PM | All ages welcome

Join us across various Tri-Cities locations to provide lawn care for families served by Elijah Family Homes. This is an outdoor project, so please plan for warm weather. Water, cooling supplies, sunscreen, and gloves will be provided.

Union Gospel Mission Meal Service 

10:00 AM–1:00 PM | Ages 10+

Assist in preparing and serving a meal to guests at the Mission. Volunteers will also have the opportunity to connect and share conversation. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Union Gospel Mission Facilities 

10:00 AM–1:00 PM | Ages 10+

Support UGM staff with various facility projects, both indoors and outdoors. Supplies will be provided for outdoor work.

Union Gospel Women’s Mission 

10:00 AM–4:30 PM | Women only

Spend the day serving and encouraging women by sharing a meal and offering spa services such as facials, manicures, and hairstyling. If you have skills in these areas, your help is especially needed. This is always a meaningful and uplifting experience.

Laundromat Takeovers

10:00 AM–1:00 PM or 1:00–4:00 PM | All ages welcome

Serve our community by covering the cost of laundry, providing supplies, snacks, and activities for children. This outreach creates space for genuine connection and unexpected generosity.

Hands and Feet Outreach 

6:00–9:00 PM | Ages 16+

Teams will visit locations throughout the Tri-Cities to distribute meals, hygiene supplies, water, and encouragement. Groups will consist of 3–10 people, with at least two men per group.

Monday, July 13

Blood Drive with the Red Cross 

10:00 AM–4:00 PM at NVC

We are honored to partner with the Red Cross for the third year to host a blood drive. Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to help save lives.Participants can pre-register for a time slot after signing up for Serve Weekend. We also need 2–4 volunteers to assist with donor check-
