Hours: 12-20 hours a week (Sundays required)

Technical Director will support the mission of New Vintage Church by overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the Technical Ministry in regards to audio, lighting, and video. The Technical Director’s ultimate goal is to ensure that services and events across all facilities and ministries are able to utilize technology efficiently, effectively, and strategically in order to enhance the experience of those attending. 

While expertise in audio, lighting and video issues is vital for this position, the emphasis is on empowering others to develop their skills, not doing everything yourself. The Technical Director should fully staff the needed positions and then be prepared to fill in, train and troubleshoot when necessary. 



-Provide technical support for worship services and events: 

-Oversight of the following areas (including teams, systems, equipment)



            -Video (broadcast/recording of services)

            -Projection (ProPresenter/PowerPoint)

-Initiate successful communication with pastors, ministry leaders, and event coordinators in order to help facilitate audio video needs. 

-Update and maintain production technologies



1.    Knowledge of audio systems and large-format digital consoles

2.    Knowledge of media in the context of worship services

a.    Video switcher with multiple cameras

b.    Keyed computer graphics (lower thirds)

c.    Presentation software (ProPresenter) 

d.    Video live streaming technology 

e.    Projectors, displays and video transmission 

3.    Knowledge of lighting

4.    Ideal candidate is highly tech-savvy, and able to learn and master new technology quickly and thoroughly

5.    Ability to inspire and motivate teams of volunteers and leaders
