The Bible: Where did it come from?
Teacher: Dan Norris
This introductory course will help you to understand why these Books are so important to understanding why we believe what we believe. This is a prerequisite course for an advanced course that will be offered in the spring. So if you want to know why there are two different testaments, join us as we discover together how God directed His words to be recorded and maintained for the Church.
Holy Spirit: Falling crazy in love with the Holy Spirit.
Teacher: Dave Borders
Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be our best friend here on earth. The purpose of this group is to establish a deeper understanding of the Holy Spirit and a deeper passion for God. We will ask the Holy Spirit to open our hearts to whatever He wants to do with us. And through this partnership our community will be healed.
Stepping Up: a journey through the Psalms of Ascent.
Teacher: Carolyn Norris
Psalms 120-134 present a picture of steps to the temple. Eugene Peterson describes the Psalms as words that are “confirmed in the intensities of honest and hazardous living.” Each step will bring a new level of intimacy with God and a challenge to ascend to the next. Together we will be challenged using several approaches to studying these Psalms including homework and memorization. Get ready to dig in and learn a new hunger for Gods word. Please purchase this book before the 1st session: Stepping Up - Bible Study Book: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent.
The book of Romans: Pauline theology.
Teacher: Bethany Marks
An in-depth study of biblical discourse that developes a sound doctrine of salvation by grace. This is an advanced class designed for the believer who has a firm grasp on theological foundations.
